Tower of bunnies

We are working on word patterns and rules that apply to words we read.  The students pick a word card and read the word.  If the word is read correctly the student gets to add a bunny to the tower.  When the tower is built as high as it can go, the children then use the carrot hook to take the bunny tower apart.   Hopefully when taking bunnies off the tower it doesn't fall. Watch out!  Down come the bunnies....don't worry we will keep hoppin!!!

Celebrating 100 Days Of School

  

We are having fun practicing and reading our sight words for the 100 days of school.  We built a sight word cup tower with a 100 words that we should be able to read whereever we see them.

Jenga Blends

We are having fun working on beginning and ending blends with the game Jenga.

Farmer's Market Game - ar,er,ir,or,ur

We are having fun playing the game Farmer's Market.  We are working on R-controlled vowels:  ar, er, ir, or, ur.)

Flip Flop Your Way In - Sight Words

Before students enter the classroom they have to read one or more of the sight words under the flip flops.  The sight words are moved around and changed out weekly.  We have fun flip floppin' our way in!!!
